Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and conduct proposal presentations to customers, representatives and internal staff.
- Prepare action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective sales leads and prospects.
- Initiate and coordinate development of action plans to penetrate international markets.
- Collaborate directly with customers to understand their needs and propose tailored solutions.
- Manage and respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
- Provide timely and professional technical support to customers.
- Provide timely, accurate and competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margins.
- Maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales and activity reports.
- Develop and maintain business contacts with all customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Design and recommend sales and marketing programs.
- Work with Marketing on developing sales/marketing initiatives to target new customers.
- Work with Marketing to develop and update sales and technical literature.
- Set short-term and long-term sales strategies.
- Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Support global representatives with technical product or marketing information.
- Meet corporate objectives including sales target and equipment margin targets.
- Coordinate all sales efforts with our representatives, regional managers and customers.
- Travel to customer locations as required both domestic and international.
- Interact and communicate with all levels of employees within the Company, as well as suppliers, customers and peers effectively.
- Comply with policies, procedures, standards and rules of the Company.
- Maintain quality assurance policy consistent with ISO standards.
- Maintain work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
- Punctual, regular and consistent attendance.
- Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Applied Sciences) or a Technical diploma in a related field.
Experience
- Minimum three (3) years experience at a technical support, applications and engineering preferably within manufacturing and industrial equipment or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and or electrical systems
- Experience with process equipment products related to transmission and distribution, power and petrochemical markets preferred.
Skills
- Customer focused mindset with the ability to build relationships
- Able to read, write, and follow verbal instructions in Standard English.
- Ability to read and understand technical equipment drawings including mechanical assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and flow schematics.
- Ability to read and understand customer detailed equipment technical specifications.
- Must have above average computer and technical skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in MS Office, ERP system (Global Shop) Familiarity
Physical and Technical Environment:
- Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to routinely travel throughout multi-floor office and shop area, walking, climbing stairs.
