About us: Bourliers Barbecue & Fireplace is a family owned and operated business since 1948. The Ferndale location was open from 1999 - 2012. We moved to Royal Oak in 2012. We sell, and provide parts for all of the following: Gas Grills, Gaslights, Fireplaces (Direct-Vent, Vent Free, & Wood Burning), Room Furnaces, Charcoal grills, Fire Pits, Fireplace doors, Gas Logs, Fireplace Screens, and Tool Sets .

Job Description: We currently seeking a sales team member to support our continued growth by providing incredible customer service to our customers. This is a 40 hour a week position. We provide training on products, systems, and processes to newly hired sales member to provide the foundation of expertise and incredible service to our customers.

Job Purpose: Serves customers by helping them select products.

Duties:

• Welcomes customers by greeting them; offering them assistance.
• Directs customers by escorting them to racks and counters; suggesting items.
• Advises customers by providing information on products.
• Helps customer make selections by building customer confidence; offering suggestions and opinions.
• Documents sale by creating or updating customer profile records.
• Processes payments by totaling purchases; processing checks, cash, and store or other credit cards.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• 18 years or older
• Must be able to operate a computer and communicate via telephone
• Must be available to work 7 days a week and evenings
• Likes building long term relationships with customers.
• Provides the advice and expertise that our customers rely on.
• Has a desire to make a difference.
• Can train on the job in a fast-past environment.
• Uses down time effectively to improve the store appearance and customer relationship
• Customer service or retail experience preferred
• High school diploma/ GED or equivalent preferred
• Good reading, written and verbal language skills (English)
• Good communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to move and/ or lift up to 50 pounds; heavier merchandise with team assist
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $42.00 per hour
