Overview

Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, the Sales Associate supports the Area Sales Manager(s) in delivering an exceptional customer experience throughout the home buying journey. Working primarily in show homes, this role is responsible for engaging prospective buyers both in person and online, supporting sales activities, maintaining lead management systems, and contributing to the overall success of the sales team while achieving sales targets and upholding Cantiro’s organizational goals.

Work Location: West Hawk (Cochrane) or Arbour Lake (Calgary), Alberta
Training Location: Edmonton, Calgary and Cochrane, Alberta

Role & Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers in our show homes, delivering an exceptional and welcoming Cantiro Homes experience.
  • Interact with potential customers visiting our website, engaging in conversation, answering questions, and scheduling appointments with the Sales Team.
  • Collect customer registration information for traffic analysis and follow-up, targeting a minimum of 80% of traffic captured monthly.
  • Maintain and manage online leads through CRM systems, including data entry, tracking, and follow-up scheduling.
  • Provide administrative support throughout the sales process to ensure the timely and accurate flow of documentation between Sales Centres and Head Office.
  • Assist with sales projects including quick possession home setup, colour selections, and related tasks as required.
  • Maintain the presentation of show homes and sales areas, ensuring they remain clean, organized, and well-stocked with marketing materials.
  • Attend and participate in weekly sales meetings.
  • Participate in sales performance improvement initiatives such as presentation scripting, qualifying techniques, benefits selling, and role-playing exercises to strengthen sales skills.
  • Submit weekly Accomplishment Reports and Traffic Reports every Sunday at the close of showhome hours.
  • Submit a written monthly inspection and area assessment report noting any deficiencies related to sales areas, signage, show homes, sales centres, and subdivision cleanliness.
  • Complete site hazard assessments, monthly show home safety assessments, and FOB testing according to schedule, while adhering to Cantiro Homes’ safety standards and practices.
  • Submit quarterly competitor shopping reports for the competitive trading area, including supporting materials.
  • Maintain the MLS program as developed by Cantiro Homes.
  • Provide additional support and services as reasonably requested by Cantiro Homes from time to time.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • 1–2 years of sales experience required; new home sales experience is considered an asset.
  • Comfortable working within a base salary plus commission compensation structure.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office and CRM platforms.
  • Access to reliable transportation with valid insurance.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays as required by showhome hours.
  • Please note, as this is a front-facing role, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check.

Work Hours

Showhome hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Saturday and Sunday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Additional time may be required for training, meetings, and administrative responsibilities.
