Company Description
Nestled in the picturesque heart of Upstate New York, Gilbertsville Farmhouse is a premier wedding and events venue known for its breathtaking views and exceptional service. We are looking to expand our team with a dedicated Sales Assistant who shares our passion for creating unforgettable experiences.
Job Description:
As the Sales Coordinator at Gilbertsville Farmhouse, you will play a pivotal role in attracting and booking clients for our stunning, award-winning wedding and event venue nestled in the heart of upstate New York. Our venue combines rustic charm with luxury, creating unforgettable experiences for couples and their guests. This position offers the opportunity to grow with our dynamic team as we continue to redefine the wedding experience in our region.
Your primary focus will be generating leads, booking events, and increasing revenue per booking through thoughtful upselling. From showcasing our unique venue to providing expert advice on how to elevate our clients’ celebrations, you will be an integral part of helping couples bring their dream weddings to life.
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, personable, and passionate about creating memorable events. If you’re excited about working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with room for growth, we want to hear from you!
You will work closely with clients to ensure their vision is realized and that every detail of their event is meticulously ready to covert to the Events Director.
Work Schedule:
- General Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, with flexibility to accommodate tours, meetings, and calls with potential clients.
- Events: Some nights and weekends are required to manage tours and ensure seamless event execution.
- Time Off: You’ll coordinate with our leadership team to ensure at least one weekend off per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales and Client Relations:
- Respond to inquiries promptly, give personalized tours of the venue, and craft tailored proposals.
- Close contracts by building strong rapport, addressing client needs, and overcoming objections.
- Manage high-value accounts (10+ annually) from initial contact through final event execution.
- Upselling and Revenue Growth:
- Highlight venue offerings during tastings and planning meetings to maximize revenue per event.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop packages that align with client preferences.
- Marketing and Lead Generation:
- Manage our online presence, including social media, print, and digital advertising.
- Identify new opportunities for growth and brand visibility in the competitive wedding market.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with operations and culinary teams to ensure client expectations are exceeded.
- Provide feedback to improve services and offerings based on client needs and market trends.
- Competitive Analysis:
- Monitor industry trends and adjust sales strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
What We’re Looking For:
- A confident, professional presence with an approachable, hospitable attitude.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to build trust and meaningful connections with clients.
- A proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the wedding or events industry is highly preferred.
This Role is NOT a Wedding Planner Position:
While we assist clients from a venue and catering perspective, all wedding clients are required to hire a day-of coordinator to manage vendors and execute their event. This ensures a smooth experience for both our clients and staff.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in sales, events, or hospitality.
- Strong understanding of social media marketing and lead generation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
What We Offer:
- Opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative team environment.
- The chance to be part of a venue that creates cherished memories for couples and their families.
If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and join a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional events, we’d love to hear from you. Please submit your resume and two professional references for consideration.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $44,000.00 per year
