Our Sales Department Lot Porter plays a key role in maintaining our dealership’s appearance and ensuring a smooth, customer‑focused operation.

Position Summary

The Sales Department Lot Porter is responsible for the organization, cleanliness, and movement of vehicles on the dealership lot. This position supports the sales team by ensuring vehicles are properly staged, fueled, presentable, and ready for customer test drives. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail‑oriented, enjoys working outdoors, and delivers a positive first impression to every guest who visits South Charlotte Chevrolet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the overall appearance and organization of the dealership lot and display areas.
  • Move, park, and arrange new and pre‑owned vehicles as directed by management.
  • Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and ready for test drives and delivery.
  • Assist with staging vehicles for photos and online listings.
  • Perform lot checks to verify vehicle inventory, placement, and condition.
  • Support the sales team with test drive preparation and vehicle retrieval.
  • Inspect vehicles for damage and report concerns to management.
  • Clean and maintain showroom and customer-facing areas as needed.
  • Install temporary tags and assist with light detailing tasks when required.
  • Provide friendly, professional interaction with customers and staff at all times.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmissions (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and move vehicles for extended periods.
  • Previous dealership or automotive experience is a plus but not required.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Full‑time position (typical dealership hours including some weekends)
  • Competitive hourly pay
