The role
This is a front-line growth role, and it's phone-first. You'll spend a meaningful part of every day cold calling care groups, nursing homes and other types of care providers, opening conversations with decision-makers who've never heard of us, and turning them into qualified meetings for our sales team. If the idea of picking up the phone 40+ times a day energises you rather than drains you, you'll thrive here. If it doesn't, this isn't the role.
You'll report directly to the CRO and work closely with the founding team. In a company this size, your wins are visible, your ideas land, and your work directly improves the daily lives of families, staff and residents.
What you'll do
- Drive high-volume outbound prospecting: primarily cold calling, plus email and LinkedIn, into care groups, nursing homes and other care providers
- Represent Altra at trade shows and industry events
- Qualify and manage leads from marketing
- Use sharp qualification and genuine rapport to match prospects' needs to Altra
- Book qualified meetings and hand them over cleanly
- Keep your activity and pipeline accurate in the CRM (HubSpot)
- Feed insights back to refine messaging and campaigns
What we're looking for
Essential:
- Native or fluent English speaking (plus fluent French for the France role)
- You're comfortable and confident on the phone; cold calling doesn't faze you
- Excellent written and spoken communication
- Highly motivated, goal-oriented and resilient; you bounce back from a "no"
Nice to have:
- Experience in outbound sales, SDR or business development
- A track record of building rapport with decision-makers
- Organised, proactive, able to juggle priorities
- Curiosity and drive to grow in a fast-moving startup
No SDR experience but hungry, articulate and unafraid of the phone? Apply anyway.
Details & benefits
- Location: Dublin City Centre, hybrid (on-site onboarding then hybrid)
- Full-time, individual contributor
- Compensation: €30-35k base + uncapped commission (OTE €50k+)
- Clear path into Account Executive or other commercial roles
- Fridays off in July and August, plus a company-wide close-down at year end
- Direct access to the founder and SLT and a real say in how we grow
