This position reports to

Spare Parts Manager

Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a Sales Engineer at ABB Motion Service, Service Supply Unit in Helsinki, Finland. In this position, you will be responsible for internal spare part sales of large electrical motors and generators and ensuring first-class end-customer experience by collaborating with local ABB sales representatives. Your responsibilities will be driving sales volumes and margins and supporting spare parts. You will be part of an experienced sales team with a sense of humor. This team is working constantly together and helping others to achieve given goals. You will also work very closely with our warranty and technical support team to provide the best possible end-customer experience. In this role you will need customer service skills and knowledge, as well as the ability to learn and understand technical drawings. Team working skills and daring to be self-initiated but ask for help when needed is considered as an asset in this role. The location for the position is Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, Finland. The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-Hybrid You will be mainly accountable for: • Supporting the local sales organization and customers in determining most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions • Preparing technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements • Co-ordinating with vendors and sales team to arrive at optimum cost for ABB offering • Ensuring a good level of operational excellence for maintaining responsiveness and improving the customer experience • Working closely with other SSU teams to give the customer the best service experience

Qualifications for the role

  • Few years of experience in technical sales is essential
  • Possessing a strong customer centered attitude is a must
  • Possessing an enhanced knowledge of motors and generators is an advantage
  • Ability to demonstrate your experience in developing and managing customer relationships
  • Passionate about collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
  • A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering, ideally in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • You are at ease communicating in Finnish and English
