Sales Executive - Derivatives

Headquartered in Singapore with presence in the United States and Indonesia, Straits Financial serves as the financial services arm of the CWT Group, a global leading provider of integrated logistics and financial services. We provide a fully-integrated service for our clients to access the financial and commodity derivative markets and will continue to expand into key financial and commodity markets.


We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive to join our team and lead the expansion of our Derivatives Business in Indonesia and/or Singapore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth by acquiring retail clients, corporates, and Accredited Individuals (High Net Worth) while building strong relationships with our Singapore Sales and Trading team. This role is pivotal in establishing a robust client base and positioning our company as a leader in the Indonesian and Singapore market.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to penetrate the Indonesian and/or Singapore market, targeting retail, corporate and Accredited Individual (AI) clients.

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with high-value clients, including Financial Institutions and Accredited Investors.

  • Promote our Derivatives products and services, tailoring solutions to meet client needs.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and servicing of clients.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and challenges.

  • Prepare and present regular sales reports to management, outlining achievements, pipeline, and strategies for growth.

  • Provide feedback on client needs and market insights to guide product development and business strategy.


Requirements

You should possess the following:

  • At least 3 years proven track record in sales, preferably in Derivatives or financial services.

  • In-depth knowledge of Derivatives markets and instruments.

  • Strong network within the Indonesian and/or Singapore market, particularly among retail, corporate, and Accredited Individuals.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

  • Proficiency in English required.

  • Preferred requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.

    • Experience working with Financial Institutions or High Net Worth Individuals.

    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for financial trading in Indonesia and/or Singapore.

    • Proficiency in Mandarin would be a plus to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients for candidates hired in Singapore.

    • Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia would be a plus for candidates hired in Indonesia.
