Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Freight Sales Executive to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales and a passion for building lasting customer relationships within the freight and logistics industry. As a Freight Sales Executive, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and expanding our market presence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective customer relationship management.
- Identify new business opportunities within the freight sector and engage potential clients through inside sales techniques.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Manage existing accounts by providing exceptional service and addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure seamless service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Conduct data entry tasks related to client interactions, sales activities, and account management in AS400 or similar systems.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
- Prepare sales reports and forecasts to track performance against targets.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within the freight or logistics industry.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals successfully.
- Excellent customer relationship management abilities to foster long-term partnerships.
- Familiarity with supply chain processes and 3PL (third-party logistics) operations is highly desirable.
- Proficient in data entry and comfortable using software such as AS400 for managing client information.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
