Overview
The Key Account Manager – Animal Nutrition will be responsible for driving business growth by managing strategic customer accounts, expanding market presence, and strengthening relationships with distributors, feed manufacturers, integrators, consultants, and institutional customers. The role requires a strong blend of commercial leadership, technical understanding of animal nutrition, and strategic account management to achieve sustainable business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Key Account Management & Business Development
Develop and manage strategic relationships with key accounts, including feed manufacturers, poultry integrators, distributors, dealers, and institutional customers. Identify new business opportunities, expand market penetration, and achieve assigned sales and profitability targets. Develop annual business plans, customer growth strategies, and territory development plans.
Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen relationships and identify emerging business opportunities.
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
Build long-term partnerships with key decision-makers, consultants, veterinarians, nutritionists, and business partners. Organize customer meetings, technical seminars, awareness programs, and business review meetings. Collect customer feedback and market insights to improve products and customer satisfaction. Ensure timely resolution of customer concerns while maintaining high service standards. This role includes Pan India customer visits based on business requirements.to strengthen business relationships, identify growth opportunities, and provide on-site commercial and technical support.
Consultant & Stakeholder Management
Coordinate consultant engagements, technical visits, and collaborative business initiatives. Manage consultancy agreements, commercial documentation, and payment coordination. Build strategic relationships with industry experts, academic institutions, and key influencers.
Product Promotion & Technical Support Work closely with Technical Services and R&D teams to execute field demonstrations and product validation trials. Monitor product performance and document field results for technical and marketing applications. Support the development of technical literature, brochures, presentations, digital marketing content, and customer success stories. Deliver product presentations and technical training programs for customers and channel partners. Facilitate sales by planning, coordinating, and executing product trials across different geographies, demonstrating product efficacy, generating customer confidence, and supporting commercial conversions.
Sales Strategy & Market Intelligence
Monitor market trends, customer requirements, competitor activities, pricing strategies, and emerging technologies. Analyze market data and recommend strategic initiatives to improve business performance. Support new product launches and market expansion initiatives. Provide regular market intelligence reports to senior management.
Brand Development & Business Representation
Represent the organization at industry conferences, exhibitions, veterinary events, technical seminars, and customer forums. Strengthen the company's brand visibility within the Animal Nutrition industry.
Develop strategic partnerships to enhance business growth opportunities.
Reporting & Business Performance
Maintain CRM records, customer databases, sales forecasts, and account performance reports. Prepare Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), sales analysis, pipeline reports, and revenue forecasts. Monitor collections, inventory movement, and account profitability. Ensure achievement of sales targets, customer retention, and business objectives.
Preferred Qualification
BVSc/ MVSc with specialization in Animal Nutrition / Poultry Science / Any Degree with proven track record in feed additive industry is preferred.
MBA is desirable Proficiency in English and Hindi is mandatory.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
