Our client, a rapidly growing leader in the retail sales and marketing industry, is seeking a full-time Sales Manager Trainee to join their Franklin Park, IL team. This is a structured, in-person, W2 position designed to fast-track your development into a leadership role.
As a Sales Manager Trainee, you will receive hands-on training in territory management, client relations, team building, and sales strategy while working face-to-face with customers inside national retail partner locations. You will also gain direct experience in public speaking, onboarding processes, and business operations as you collaborate closely with the HR and recruitment team.
What You’ll Do:
- Represent our client’s products and services in high-traffic retail environments
- Consistently meet or exceed personal sales goals while leading from the front
- Learn and apply effective sales strategies and customer acquisition techniques
- Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring new sales representatives
- Partner with recruitment and HR teams to streamline hiring and retention efforts
- Track performance metrics and contribute to weekly goal planning
- Participate in public speaking opportunities, sales meetings, and team trainings
- Understand business break-even points and contribute to territory profitability
Who We’re Looking For:

- Willingness to work one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) is required
- Prior experience in sales, leadership, or customer-facing roles is a plus but not required
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and able to commute to Oak Brook, IL 2x per week
- A reliable vehicle is recommended as there is local travel involved with this role as well.
