Job Title: Sales Representative
Location: Big Rapids, MI 49307
Duration: 13 Months Contract – W2
Industry: Energy & Utilities
Schedule: 3 days/week Onsite – 40 hours per week
Recruiter Insights:
- Must have own vehicle with insurance and a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to pay for gas, food, and lodging (weekly reimbursement for travel-related expenses).
- Majority of the work will take place in Big Rapids and North.
- Ideal candidates would be based in the North Central Michigan area.
Must Have:
- 0–2 years of experience in Sales
- Creative mindset for selling
- Extensive driving and regular overnight travel
Nice to Have:
- Prior sales experience in the Energy or Utilities industry
Sales Representative Qualifications:
- Requires 0–2 years of experience in the field or related area
- Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures
- A certain degree of creativity, latitude, and Microsoft Office skills required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills for building relationships within the team
Sales Representative Responsibilities:
- Sales for large gas utility expansion projects
- Work within a tight-knit sales group; door-to-door direct sales to prospective customers
- Perform a variety of tasks including extensive driving, regular overnights, and door-to-door outreach
- Obtain easements and interact with other teams to meet yearly goals
- Work under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager
