Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Yard Supervisor to oversee operations in our distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing yard activities, ensuring efficient materials handling, and maintaining safety standards. This role requires strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of field management systems.

Duties

• Supervise daily yard operations, ensuring all activities are conducted efficiently and safely.
• Manage inventory levels and oversee field operations.
• pull parts as needed and helping employees with task as needed.
• Train and mentor staff on best practices in removing parts and safety protocols.
• Ensure proper removal of parts and everybody is on task and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
• Coordinate with other departments to optimize workflow and resolve any operational issues.
• Conduct regular inspections of yard equipment, including forklifts, to ensure proper functionality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a salvage yard or mechanic shop.
• Strong knowledge of parts and semi trucks management practices.
• Familiarity with management systems.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other materials handling equipment safely.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively lead a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
