A bit about you

We’re looking for someone who knows their way around Sample Preparation and is a supervisor capable of leading by example. You will enjoy working in a small, supportive team and have a positive approach to training others on-the-job to meet set procedures. A great communicator with effective time management skills, your technical capability will include:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a similar mineral laboratory
• Previous demonstrated or emerging experience supervising a small team (3-5 staff)

About the role

Our operations are ramping up and we’re looking for a Supervisor to ensure mineral samples are ready for laboratory analysis. Reporting directly to the Laboratory Manager, this hands-on role will be responsible for:

• Establishing and delivering on daily targets and sample output requirements
• Training and directing the team to conduct routine sample preparation, handling and processing
• Ensuring all samples are prepared in accordance with standard procedures
• Organisation and storing of samples in line with safety requirements
• Accurate daily reporting
