Job Description: Principal SAP BASIS & Security Architect (S/4HANA Migration – Aviation)

The Mission: Securing the Digital Gateway

We are looking for a high-caliber SAP BASIS & Security Leader to architect and oversee the migration of a major International Airport’s mission-critical SAP landscape from ECC to S/4HANA.

At 15+ years of experience, you are more than a consultant; you are the guardian of system stability and data integrity. Operating a 24/7 airport environment leaves zero margin for downtime. You will design the infrastructure, lead the technical migration, and harden the security posture of an environment that facilitates millions of passenger journeys.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Migration Leadership: Architect and execute the technical migration strategy using SAP Maintenance Planner, SI Check, and Software Update Manager (SUM) with DMO.
• HANA Database Administration: Design, install, and optimize multi-tenant HANA 2.0 landscapes, focusing on High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) to ensure 99.99% airport uptime.
• Cybersecurity & GRC: Implement a robust security framework including SAP GRC (Access Control/Process Control), Fiori security (catalogs/groups), and S/4HANA Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Infrastructure Design: Lead the transition from legacy on-premise hardware to modern private/public cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) or high-performance on-premise appliances.
• Performance Engineering: Conduct deep-level performance tuning across the application, database, and OS layers to handle high-concurrency airport operations.
• Security Audit & Compliance: Ensure the SAP landscape meets stringent aviation security standards, handling everything from encryption (TDE) to audit logging and vulnerability assessments.

Professional Requirements

• Experience: 15+ years of core SAP BASIS experience with at least three major ECC to S/4HANA conversion projects at the architectural level.
• Security Expertise: Deep proficiency in SAP Security, including GRC 12.0, SSO (Single Sign-On), and SAP Cloud Identity Services.
• Aviation Expertise: (Strongly Preferred) Experience managing SAP environments for Airports, National Defense, or Critical Infrastructure.
• Certifications: SAP Certified Technology Associate (S/4HANA) and SAP Certified OS/DB Migration are highly desirable.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead a technical task force, manage third-party infrastructure providers, and communicate risk to the Steering Committee.

Hybrid Work Model & Deployment

This is a permanent role requiring a balanced physical and remote presence:

• 50% Remote/Hybrid: Based out of our Tier-1 technology centers in Bangalore, Delhi, or Kolkata.

50% On-site: Deployment at the airport project site near Bangalore (Devenahalli region). On-site presence is mandatory during the "Cutover" phases and high-intensity migration sprints.
