Sap Bi Expert M/F

We are looking for a hard-working and organized BI Developer to be responsible for the upkeep and development of warehouse data to support our business decision-making. The BI Developer builds and maintains a data warehouse design to generate reports and planning applications on various business domains like finance, controlling, purchasing, sales and market intelligence… to aid in business performance monitoring and business decision making.

Responsibilities:

• Translating business needs into technical specifications.
• Developing reporting systems that provide accessible information for decision-making.
• Using warehouse data to generate reports to support business decision-making and business performance monitoring.
• Maintaining data analytics platforms.
• Evaluating and improving existing BI systems.
• Conducting troubleshooting on BI models.
• Generating and delivering quality reports to customers and performing quality assurance checks on reports.
• All these activities must be handled in full compliance with the IT General Compliance rules and the SOx rules that are applied in the ArcelorMittal group.

Here are some features of our current landscape:

• SAP BI version 7.5 running on SAP HANA
• SAP BODS BO Data Services, to extract and insert data
• SAP SLT (replication server) to replicate data from several ERP’s and other sources.
• Our SAP BI system is connected to 5 SAP ERP, 2 SAP BI, 1 CRM, 1 C4C plus 3 Legacy systems through SAP PO (process orchestration).
• Many reports are made on Bex Query Designer and consumed with Analysis for Office.
• Recent reports are being made on SAP Analytics Cloud.
• Various components of Microsoft Azure are under deployment to build a new data lake and extend the current SAP data warehouse.
• Microsoft Power BI is used by some internal customers, connections are created to consume data of the SAP data warehouse.

Skills:

• Education: Master
• Language proficiency: English Level advanced. Advanced French expected.
• Proficiency level: advanced, 5 years of experience minimum
• Experience in global SAP environments
• Being familiar with as many as possible of the above-mentioned tools:
  • Good SAP BW knowledge
  • Good HANA design studio including the creation of calculation views
  • ABAP programming knowledge
  • SQL and OMPD programming
  • Basic SAP-ERP knowledge
  • Microsoft BI stack:
    • Power Pivot
    • SSRS
    • SSIS
    • SSAS
  • Microsoft Azure landscape
  • Microsoft Power Automate
• Other applications that the candidate will work with:
  • SAP Business Objects
  • SAP Analytics Cloud
  • SAP Analysis for Office
  • Microsoft Excel (Macros)
  • Microsoft SharePoint
