We work with both national and international stakeholders, industry groups and enterprise agencies, running flagship programmes. The Skillnet Climate Ready Academy, a national-level sustainability training and upskilling initiative aims to support Irish businesses in developing the skills and talent required to mitigate the effects of our changing climate and environment. As the promoting organisation for the Skillnet Climate Ready Academy Scheme, 20FIFTY Partners now seeks to appoint a Scheme Manager.

The Opportunity

We’re offering a high-impact leadership opportunity to drive the success of the Skillnet Climate Ready Academy. As the lead, you’ll be responsible for managing the programme’s strategy, execution, and ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities

Financial Oversight and Governance

Manage all financial aspects of the scheme, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and procurement processes.
Ensure timely collection of match funds and maintain compliance with funding agreements and operational standards.
Oversee expenditure approvals and ensure proper financial controls are in place to safeguard resources.
Prepare comprehensive funding applications for submission to Skillnet Ireland.
Track and report on financial performance, maintaining detailed records for audits and external evaluations.

Sales, Marketing, and Stakeholder Engagement

Design and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to boost scheme visibility, generate leads, and drive participation.
Develop targeted campaigns to engage businesses and promote training offerings.
Actively network and engage with companies, SME business networks and relevant stakeholders to identify opportunities and ensure alignment with market needs.
Represent the scheme at national events, conferences, and meetings, showcasing its value and impact.
Utilise systems and automation tools to streamline operations, improve reporting, and enhance stakeholder engagement.

Scheme Performance

Organise and Chair Working Group meetings for the Scheme
Lead on achieving and exceeding of contracted targets while maintaining alignment with the scheme’s objectives.
Regularly assess the scheme’s performance through strategic reviews, adjusting plans to optimise outcomes.
Safeguard the quality of all training programmes by establishing robust systems, structures, and quality assurance protocols.
Collaborate with internal and external teams, subject matter experts, and tutors to develop and deliver high-impact learning solutions.
Establish and expand the scheme, driving its evolution to meet future needs.

Key Skills & Experience

A degree or equivalent qualification (post graduate qualification preferred), paired with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong track record in managing training programmes at both strategic and operational levels, including business development.
Knowledge of blended learning methods, online delivery models, and quality assurance systems.
Experience with university certification frameworks, learning networks, and communities of practice.
Proficiency in managing procurement processes and navigating public procurement requirements.
Demonstrable financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking.
Marketing expertise, with the ability to design and lead promotional initiatives.
Familiarity with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and financial tools.
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving targets.
Experience in team and direct line management, setting and monitoring performance objectives and KPIs.
Willingness to travel as required, with a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transport.
