About the Role
This position reports to the Fees Team Leader and is responsible for delivering high-level customer service to both internal and external stakeholders of the University. Working under general direction from the Coordinator, the position ensures the efficient administration of all aspects related to student fees and scholarships.
The Fees and Scholarships Officer maintains up-to-date knowledge of compliance requirements relevant to student fees and scholarships and contributes to a range of functions including data integrity, government reporting, processing, communication, process improvement, and policy development. The role provides accurate and timely information and advice to students and staff regarding fees, and supports the resolution of fee-related issues. The Officer is also responsible for processing scholarships and managing remission and refund processes following census dates.
As a member of the Admissions and Enrolments Services Centre of Excellence within Student Administration and Library Services (SALS), the Officer collaborates closely with colleagues across admissions, enrolments and SALS to ensure that student administration needs are met effectively. The role plays a key part in supporting a smooth and positive admissions and enrolment experience for all students.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Experience in a tertiary administrative environment, student fee administration and relevant legislative requirements
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail ensuring high level of accuracy
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated delivery of outstanding customer service within a demanding, customer focused environment

Qualifications
- Completion of a degree without subsequent work experience; or
- Completion of an associated diploma and at least 2 years subsequent relevant work experience; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
