This part time position is for a minimum of 16-22.5 hours a week, 38 weeks of the year, working term time. Hours of work available are 1.30/2.00pm to 6pm Tuesday to Friday or Monday- Friday with an option of working additional hours between 7.30-9am in our breakfast club if desired.
There are many benefits for the right candidate, including above average holiday pay. Salary will be in line with the new Employment Regulation Order.
**Please note, our service is not on any public transport route, so your own transport is essential for the position.**
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Be Responsible for the health safety and welfare of all children in your care.
- Creating a play based fun curriculum for afterschool children based on their emerging interests.
- Helping the afterschool children with their homework.
- Observing the children and documenting their journey through afterschool.
- Have a working knowledge of Aistear and Siolta and use it in daily practice.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Minimum Criteria:
- QQI Level 5 or above in Childcare preferred but not essential, shortlisting may apply.
- First Aid and Child Protection training desirable.
- Excellent written and spoken English required.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in an early years or school age setting desirable.
- Excellent references and garda vetting required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: €15.00-€17.50 per year
Expected hours: 16 – 22.5 per week
