We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our team in our new service opening early 2026 in Coolgreany Gorey .As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Provider in the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the leadership and management of the afterschool club, supporting staff and maintaining a positive team environment.

Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.

Support the development and implementation of creative and educational activities that promote children’s growth and wellbeing.

Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and staff, ensuring open communication and a welcoming atmosphere.

Assist with staff training, supervision, and performance management.

Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and stimulating environment.

Support administrative duties including record-keeping, reporting, and liaising with regulatory bodies

Experience working in early years or afterschool settings, with a strong understanding of child development and safeguarding.

Proven leadership or supervisory experience within a childcare or educational environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to motivate and support a team.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Relevant qualifications in childcare, education, or management are desirable.

A passion for nurturing children’s creativity and wellbeing

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: €18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 17.5 per week

Education:

• Advanced/Higher Certificate (preferred)
