Position Overview:

Golden Arrow School Buses Ltd. is looking to hire a full-time, permanent school bus dispatchers to join our dynamic team. This roles involve coordinating school bus transportation schedules, communicating with drivers, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule available drivers to cover scheduled routes and charters.
• Monitor and communicate with Bus Drivers and others concerning such ‘environmental’ information as weather, road hazards, road closings, traffic delays, etc.
• Track buses using geographic positioning system (GPS) equipment.
• Assign and coordinate school bus schedules for drivers.
• Communicate route updates, changes, or issues promptly to drivers.
• Monitor bus schedules to ensure timely departures and arrivals.
• Handle scheduling disruptions and provide effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of routes, schedules, and communications.
• Act as the main point of contact for drivers, schools, and parents during shifts.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in school bus or transportation dispatching is an asset.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Intermediate computer skills (email, scheduling systems, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
