What you’ll do

• Prepare and serve delicious meals that meet nutritional guidelines while ensuring food safety standards are upheld.
• Provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors, creating a friendly and inviting environment.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of dining areas for meal service, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Collaborate with team members to efficiently manage food preparation and serving during busy meal times.
• Maintain accurate records of food inventory, supplies, and meal counts to support effective operations.
• Follow all health regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices to ensure student safety.
• Engage with students to promote healthy eating choices while answering any questions they may have about menu items.

Basic qualifications

• Experience in food preparation or service within a school or restaurant setting.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with students and staff.

Preferred qualifications

• Fine dining experience or banquet experience that showcases your culinary talents.
• Previous experience as a dietary aide or in catering, enhancing your understanding of diverse dietary needs.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
• Barista experience or familiarity with beverage preparation is a plus.
• A background in hospitality that emphasizes teamwork and collaboration in fast-paced environments.
