About the role:
Contract type : Ongoing, Full-time, Salary from $104,786.00 based on experience

Start date: 01/08/2026

We are seeking an experienced School Counsellor who is fully bilingual in French and English to join our wellbeing service team. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Provide best-practice support, guidelines and interventions as well as developmentally appropriate counselling for students at all school levels (Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary school levels).
Provide support for teachers in the management and assessment of student learning, behaviour and wellbeing concerns.
Work with parents or guardians to provide guidance and support in understanding and managing their child’s social, emotional and learning needs.

Skills and Experiences:
About the ideal candidate:
Hold relevant tertiary qualifications and be an AHPRA registered Psychologist (preferred).
Have practical experience working with children and young persons of all ages in a school environment, and an understanding of the role of Teachers and support staff at school.
Have a comprehensive understanding of current educational issues.
Have experience dealing with students at risk.
Understanding of child protection legislation and guidelines as it applies to schools.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in French & English
