What you’ll get:
As a Scientist 3 you will work in one of the three technical functions in the dept (CCD, PDEV, AS). Demonstrated technical capability and scientific understanding in a specific area of expertise. Developing broader technical and scientific capabilities. Plans the execution of projects and may lead junior scientists as project lead depending on scale work workload. Performs training. Performs hands on lab work with high levels of RFT. Customer interaction as member of internal and customer project teams.
Supports the lab by taking a lead role in the lab housekeeping teams
What you’ll do:
Adherence to EHS rules and regulations is required at all times.
Perform the following activities with high levels of RFT: Routine cell culture (CLC or Bioreactors or characterization stages), analytical methods aligned with individuals training, routine downstream process development (material supply/process evaluation and characterization).
Efficiently plans own time and prioritizes lab work with minimal input from supervisor to deliver project goals
Document results in accordance with Lonza policies and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
General lab support including housekeeping, equipment maintenance,
inventory of supplies, etc and troubleshooting equipment and scientific issueActively contributes to operational efficiency initiatives and participates in internal and customer project teams
Communicates directly with customers and prepare drafts reports/protocols for review
Performs training in area of expertise and perform any other duties as assigned by Management.
What we’re looking for:
Degree /PhD in Biological Science / Engineering as appropriate for area of expertise
Experience in a lab either in industry or academia, or via an industry work training program
Understanding of theory and application of mammalian cell culture for production of biological therapeutics
Understanding of cGMP regulations
