Scientist I, Research & Development
Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Practical project development towards commercial research products
- Development and validation of immunological detection methods for the analysis of biological samples
- Independent planning and execution of experiments including data analysis and appropriate documentation of experiments according to company policy.
- Laboratory maintenance, like instrument calibration and buffer preparation
- Performance of testing and assays in accordance with approved methods and SOPs
- Assistance in troubleshooting, investigations and other duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
- B.Sc. in Biology, Biochemistry, or related science
- Hands-on experience with immunoassays (ELISA, bead-based multiplex assays, PLA or similar)
- Good understanding of immunology, cell biology and protein analysis techniques.
- Good problem-solving skills and logical approach to solving scientific problems
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Possesses analytical thinking skills that are applied to solving a sophisticated scientific problem
- Works well in a team environment and collaborates with other members of the team to find a solution
- Proficiency in German and English
