Job Description

As a Cashier at Barbecues Galore, you’ll be the face of our store, ensuring that every customer has a positive experience while helping us keep things running smoothly. Whether you’re ringing up BBQs or chatting with customers about their next grilling adventure, you’ll be creating a memorable shopping experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

You’ll work alongside a dynamic team, handling transactions, offering helpful information, and ensuring the store is always neat and inviting. You’ll also be responsible for processing purchases efficiently using our point-of-sale system, all while delivering exceptional customer service.

Your day might look something like this:

• Smiling, greeting, and engaging with customers as soon as they walk in
• Assisting with transactions (and making sure they’re smooth and accurate)
• Offering knowledgeable advice about products (training will be provided, don’t worry!)
• Keeping the store tidy, organized, and ready for the next customer
• Ensuring every customer leaves feeling happy and satisfied with their experience
• You will also be scheduling Assembly and Delivery services at time of sale.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service Excellence: Great, listen to, and assist customers in a friendly, approachable manner. This also include making sure you are to be answering phones in a professional manner.
• Point-of-sale Operations: Process transactions quickly and accurately while maintaining professionalism
• Product Knowledge: Learn about BBQs, fireplaces, and patio furniture to help answer customer questions
• Store Organization: Keep the store and displays neat and organized, ensuring new items are out on the floor quickly
• Team Collaboration: Work together with other team members to maintain a fun, productive environment

What We’re Looking For:

• A genuine love for helping people and a team-first attitude
• Previous retail experience is helpful but not necessary—training is provided
• Basic computer skills
• Comfortable standing for most of your shift and handling a high volume of transactions (our busy season can get exciting!)
• Weekend availability
