We are seeking an experienced Seasonal Guest Experiences Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations at Painted Rock Estate Winery. This seasonal position runs from March through early November.

Painted Rock is a family-owned and operated winery dedicated to producing ultra-premium wines from our single estate vineyard on the Skaha Bench in Penticton, BC.

The successful candidate will support the Tasting Room Manager and Director of Estate Experiences in leading our hospitality team while ensuring every guest experience at the estate runs smoothly, professionally and feels genuinely welcoming.

About the Role:

This is a hands-on hospitality position that combines tasting room leadership, guest hosting and event support. The Seasonal Hospitality Supervisor oversees tasting room operations mid-week, hosts tastings throughout the season, and assists with the coordination and execution of winery events and weddings.

Responsibilities:

• Foster a positive, professional work environment for tasting room associates, with a strong focus on guest experience and service excellence.
• Serve as Tasting Room Supervisor on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, overseeing daily operations and supporting the team.
• Lead and host wine tastings on days without scheduled events, delivering knowledgeable and engaging service to guests.
• Assist with the coordination and execution of winery events and weddings (approximately 6–7 throughout the season).
• Respond promptly to tasting room emails and phone inquiries.
• Maintain a welcoming, professional presence with guests and team members.
• Assist with food preparation and service during tasting experiences.
• Educate guests about the Wine Club and encourage sign-ups.
• Ensure the venue remains clean, organized and guest-ready at all times.
• Support the Commerce7 POS system and assist with inventory control.
• Ensure private wine orders are packaged and shipped promptly.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including cash reconciliation.

Qualifications:

• Previous tasting room or hospitality supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of and passion for wine required.
• Friendly, approachable demeanor with excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask under pressure.
• Confident hosting tastings and speaking with guests about wine in a professional and engaging manner.
• Comfortable supporting events and working calmly during busy service periods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other computer systems.
• Availability to work weekends and occasional evenings.
• Experience with Commerce 7 POS and Tock reservation system is an asset.
• Must be 19 years of age and have a Serving it Right Certificate & Food Safe Certificate.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
