Do you want to challenge, change, and steer our company into the future? Are you ready to make your mark on the finance industry and positively shape the world? Then you will thrive at SEB.

At SEB, we believe in fresh thinking, new working methods, and innovation to create a fairer and more sustainable world. Since SEB was founded in 1856, our focus on customers and long-term relationships has been at the heart of our success, while sustainability and digitalization influence our long-term strategy. SEB’s International Trainee Programme is a unique way to kick-start your career! You will be hired for permanent employment that begins with the International Trainee Programme in September 2026. In Finland, the position for 2026-27 is in our Real Estate Coverage team. This is a great opportunity to challenge yourself, develop your skills, and discover your strengths while exploring the world of finance.

About the role

You will be a part of a Real Estate Coverage team in Helsinki working with the largest local and international real estate investors in the Finnish market. We collaborate closely with colleagues in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Germany. The team has overall responsibility for providing and coordinating all banking services for our real estate clients. Our core offering includes financing, corporate finance, debt capital markets, cash management, and hedging solutions. We also have strong ambitions to promote sustainability across our business. Cross-team collaboration, proactive communication, and a focus on accuracy and timely delivery are essential parts of our daily work.

As an Analyst in the Real Estate Coverage team, you will build internal financial models and prepare presentations for business cases, as well as assess the creditworthiness of transactions together with the team and present your analyses to the bank’s committees. You will prepare client materials and work closely with our advisory teams on various client projects. In addition, you will support the administration of client communication and documentation and act as a key stakeholder contact in resolving day-to-day matters.

For the first nine months of your employment, you will participate in the International Trainee Programme while working in the Real Estate Coverage team. The programme will give you the opportunity to develop an extensive network within the bank, gain a deep understanding of the financial industry and be professionally and personally challenged. You can expect as part of the programme to contribute to meaningful projects, to work on communication and leadership skills, to do rotations in other teams across the bank, to be part of a business challenge and to do an international internship at another SEB site in the world. Find out more about the International Trainee Programme here. After completing the programme, you will continue working as an Analyst in the Real Estate Coverage team.

  • A genuine interest in real estate economics and comprehensive knowledge of finance.
  • A growth mindset and motivation to develop professionally.
  • An ability to take ownership and work independently in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
