Duties

  • Deliver comprehensive math instruction across various topics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, and differential equations.
  • Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Develop and refine curriculum materials, incorporating modern learning technology to enhance student understanding.
  • Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide timely feedback.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to active participation.
  • Mentor students through tutoring sessions, academic advising, and personalized support to foster confidence and mastery in math concepts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on instructional design, research initiatives, and school-wide educational strategies to improve overall teaching quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
  • Proven classroom experience teaching secondary-level mathematics with a focus on engaging diverse learners.
  • Strong knowledge of mathematical subjects including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, organic chemistry (for interdisciplinary connections), biochemistry, genetics, molecular biology, microbiology, cell biology, and science research methods.
  • Familiarity with laboratory experience and dissection techniques for science integration is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using learning technology tools for instruction and assessment purposes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex concepts and foster student engagement.
  • Experience with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques.
  • Skills in curriculum development, instructional design, proofreading of educational materials, and standardized testing administration.
  • Prior experience working with students in private school settings or special education environments is a plus. Pay: $64,782.00 - $78,706.00 per year
