Security Officer

Location: Welcome Centre

Role Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Security Officer to help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, visitors, and staff. This role combines security responsibilities with night reception duties and requires excellent communication skills, good judgement, and the ability to respond calmly in a range of situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out regular internal and external security patrols.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security concerns.
• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records.
• Provide a professional reception service during night shifts, including assisting with arrivals, enquiries, and administrative tasks.
• Ensure communal areas are clean, safe, and secure.
• Support residents and guests while enforcing site rules and procedures.
• Report maintenance, safeguarding, or welfare concerns to management.
• Assist with fire alarms, evacuations, and other emergency procedures.
• Work closely with management to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the site.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in security, hospitality, or a customer service role is desirable.
• Valid PSA licence (or equivalent, where required).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with challenging situations professionally.
• Basic IT skills and the ability to complete reports accurately.
• Flexibility to work day, night, weekend, and public holiday shifts as required.

This role may involve working with vulnerable individuals and requires a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and respect. Other duties may be assigned by management to meet operational requirements.
