About the Role:
We are looking for a candidate to join our Security Certification and Accreditation chapter as a Security C&A Specialist (Security Compliance Specialist). This role supports the business units and leadership by helping them understand security risks and compliance obligations. The team consists of experts in security risk, audit and compliance, operating across diverse environments. This role would suit a candidate who is passionate, experienced in industry standard and regulations, delivering a certification assurance program that enables Spark to successfully maintain certifications and deliver our contractual obligation to our clients. You will collaborate with teams to ensure that appropriate security controls are considered, implemented, and followed.
Day to day you will be involved in:
  • Spearhead the delivery and maintenance of security audit & compliance projects within Spark
  • Provide insights and influence the importance of information security policies, standards or industries controls, frameworks, and best practices, such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NZISM, ISAE 3402, CIS, NIST CSF
  • Ensure that security controls are implemented, adhered to and effective in preparation for security certification and assurance audits
  • Monitor and manage security risk remediation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Facilitate penetration testing and vulnerability scanning of products
  • Support other team members’ ongoing development and learning, particularly analysts
  • Drive and promote the importance of compliance and risk throughout Spark
  • Maintain and oversee the following:
    • Security Certification & Accreditation and Assurance strategy and objectives
    • Security Certification Risk Register
    • Security Compliance e-learning modules
    • Product and Platform Compliance Assessments
    • RFP, RFI, RFQ or audit response for security certification and assurance
What experience you'll bring?
  • Appropriate qualification(s) in Cyber/Information Security, Information Technology or related field.
  • Atleast five years’ experience on similar role
  • CISA, CISM, CRISC, internal and external audit experience or other relevant certification is preferred
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent team player
  • Strong prioritisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to think critically and operate with rigour.
  • Commitment to quality in all that you do.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • A drive for continuous improvement.
  • Experience and understanding of security standards, framework- and security best practice.
  • Understands key security risks and controls.
  • Government sector experience is hugely advantageous.
