Job Description
As a Security Circuits Research Scientist at Intel, you will spearhead the design, development, and implementation of advanced research projects in secure computing and cryptographic algorithms. Your role will focus on architecting secure designs for Intel's hardware and software products, ensuring they meet stringent security standards and specifications. You will conduct threat evaluations, vulnerability assessments, and develop innovative solutions to enhance the security and performance of Intel's products.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Lead scientific research projects to drive advancements in secure computing, cryptographic algorithms, and related technologies.
Apply scientific principles to define and architect secure designs for Intel's hardware and software offerings.
Ensure compliance with security standards and specifications across products.
Conduct threat assessments and vulnerability evaluations to identify and address security gaps.
Develop tools and processes to enhance security test automation.
Collaborate with fellow security researchers to advance ethical hacking skills and product knowledge.
Stay abreast of state-of-the-art security principles, theories, and attack methodologies.
Contribute to scientific literature, conferences, and the development of intellectual property.
Create security-related project plans, cost estimates, and assess project risks.
Research technological trends and foster partnerships with industry, academia, and standards bodies.
Influence external research and disseminate findings through publications, patents, and outreach.
Develop proof-of-concepts or prototypes for new ideas, including test chips and competitive analyses.
Collaborate with engineering teams to determine product requirements and assess new technology feasibility.
Recommend features and influence future Intel product roadmaps.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
PHD with 4+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or STEM-related field.
10+ years of experience in:
Publishing in top-tier circuit conferences/journals.
Research in deep submicron CMOS chip design and high-speed testing.
Research in energy-efficient high-performance security circuit design.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in cryptographic hardware accelerators and physical side-channel attacks.
Experience in lattice-crypto arithmetic datapaths.
Familiarity with post-quantum crypto algorithms and datapaths.
Experience with fully homomorphic encryption algorithms and datapaths.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US $186,070.00-$262,680.00
- Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
