About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Security Engineer with expertise in application security and cloud security to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with DevOps teams, cloud teams, and other Cyber Security teams to streamline application and cloud security operations. You will be responsible for managing integrations, writing procedures, and ensuring that security practices are integrated into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) while continuously optimizing our cloud security posture for threat detection, prevention, and response

Day to day you will be involved in:
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in application security for enterprise projects during development phases to work with devops team to integrate appsec tool into projects
  • Design, Implement and lead the operational enhancement of Cloud Detection and Response tools ensuring alignment with organisational security objectives
  • Design and implement appsec and cloud sec tool BAU workflows in collaboration with relevant teams
  • Develop and implement custom use cases for cloud threat detection tailored to organisational risks and cloud environments and work closely with the Threat Hunting team to ensure cloud attack simulations are properly integrated with corresponding detection policies
  • Collaborate with cloud teams/devops teams and wider Cyber Security Teams to enforce application and security policies at the organizational level and create custom threat detection policies where necessary
  • Ensure seamless integration of application security tools and cloud posture tools with SIEM and ticketing systems.
  • Partner with wider Cyber Security Teams, DevOps teams and Architects to perform threat modelling, identify vulnerabilities, and work on technical remediation strategies
What experience you'll bring?
  • Proven 5+ years’ experience in security operations, with expertise in tools like AquaSec, WIZ, Amazon CodeGuru
  • Familiarity with application security, including SCA, SAST, image scanning, DAST scanning and runtime protection
  • Strong knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud platforms, with hands-on experience in securing cloud environments
  • Experience in Openshift/Kubernetes, Docker, Nexus and other related DevOps practices and tools
  • Experience in Azure DevOps and Github including configuring CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency in Terraform, scripting (e.g., Python, Bash), and automating cloud security workflows
  • Understanding about Application and cloud related threats and mitigations
  • Familiar with popular threat modelling frameworks (eg: STRIDE, DREAD, PASTA), and have experience with automated tools
