We are currently recruiting Security Guards to join our growing team providing security services in a variety of different settings ranging from healthcare institutions to retail and industrial locations.

We are currently hiring for security guards who are interested in working both within Long-term Care homes with residents as well as at campgrounds, private beaches and events within Lambton County throughout the summer.

Security Guard responsibilities:

• Protecting people, assets & property at client locations
• Assist with High Intensity Needs Residents in Long Term Care settings on a 1:1 basis
• Monitoring access points using surveillance & alarm systems
• Conducting preventive surveillance
• Providing impeccable customer service
• Preventing fire, theft & vandalism through vigilance
• Verifying & inspecting all safety equipment
• Enforcing client property regulations
• Writing reports
• Assist with screening measures such as asking specific screening questions and other measures that may be implemented

Security Guard requirements:

• Valid Standard First Aid & CPR certification (Must be from a Red Cross trained organization)
• Must pass Vulnerable Police Check (VPC) (REQUIRED)
• Have received a primary series of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine
• A Recent 2-Step TB test or equivalent within the past 6 months
• Must be able to be clean shaven to pass an N95 fit test.
• Valid Driver's License (REQUIRED)
• Own vehicle or reliable method of transportation (REQUIRED)
• Willing to travel out of Sarnia for locations such as Petrolia, Grand Bend, Wallaceburg & Chatham
• Previous experience working as a security guard or previous experience within Long Term Care or working with the elderly is an asset
• Full availability including nights, days, afternoons, weekends & statutory holidays, 8 to 10 hour shifts
• Proactive, attention-to-detail, self-motivated, team players

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 44 per week

Experience:

• Security Guard: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
