The roles, responsibilities and duties of a Security Officer can be performed in many different sectors and varying roles. This Position Description outlines the general duties in line with specific role types and acts as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.

Level 4 award rate i.e. $27.88 + allowances + shift penalties.

About the role

The position is primarily responsible for providing a security presence whilst remaining alert and focused. You must have NV1 clearance to be considered for this role. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders. Duties include but are not limited to:

Concierge / commercial building security
Access control and monitor CCTV
Responding professionally, courteously and promptly to all customer enquiries
Direct and escort visitors to site
Visitor sign in/induction and key Registers and issue of keys
The identify and report building maintenance issues
Conduct foot patrol internal and external

Skills & experience

Australian citizenship
Certificate II in Security Operations and current First Aid certificate
Current NSW Security licence
Hold a NV1 AGSVA clearance
Excellent customer service and communication
The ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment
Integrity and sound judgment
