Job Description: Banksman & SIA Licensed Security Officer

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly responsible and professional individual to join our team as a Banksman & SIA Licensed Security Officer at the prestigious W Hotel. The successful candidate will play a dual role, ensuring safe vehicle movements and maintaining a secure environment for guests and staff. This role requires a valid Banksman Certificate and SIA License, or the willingness to obtain these qualifications before starting.

Key Responsibilities:
Banksman Duties:

• Direct and oversee vehicle movements in and out of the W Hotel's designated areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with drivers to avoid accidents and ensure compliance with site-specific protocols.
• Maintain clear pathways and manage parking areas to prevent congestion.
• Adhere to health and safety standards, reporting any hazards or incidents promptly.

Security Duties:

• Monitor and secure the premises, providing a visible security presence to deter potential risks.
• Conduct regular patrols and inspections of the property to identify and address security concerns.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
• Work closely with hotel staff to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for guests.
• Manage access control, including verifying identification and overseeing guest and staff entry.

Requirements:

• Valid Banksman Certificate (or willingness to obtain before starting).
• Valid SIA License (or willingness to obtain before starting).
• Proven experience in security or a similar role is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to Banksman and security duties.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
