Purpose:
As a Security Screener you will screen all guests upon entry to our venues for the safety of our patrons, guests, staff, volunteers, and artists. This role will monitor the screening process and perform secondary searches as necessary.

Education & Experience:
  • 1+ years of experience in security or related field.
Essential Functions:
  • Arrive 1.5 hours before the performance and set up areas at the Evolv Express locations.
  • Monitor the screening process and address any items that are not permitted in our venues.
  • Follow Dayton Live’s policies regarding entry into our venues.
o No large bags over 16’x16’x8’
o No weapons or firearms
o No outside food or beverage
  • Escalate situations as necessary to managers on duty as necessary.
  • Provide excellent customer service in difficult situations.
Knowledge:
  • Public Safety and Security - Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
  • Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrate integrity, tact, diplomacy, and a commitment to company values, and principles.
  • Adept at maintaining a positive, open, approachable, and professional relationship with a diverse group of clients, employees, and colleagues.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule; weekends, nights, and holidays required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
