Security Staff Wanted - McHugh's Bar, Carrick-on-Shannon

McHugh's Bar, a well-known establishment in the heart of Carrick-on-Shannon, is currently seeking dedicated and professional Door Supervisor/Security Staff to join our front-of-house team.

We are committed to providing an exceptional and safe environment for all our patrons and staff. Your role is vital in maintaining the welfare, safety, and security standards that define the McHugh's experience.

Key Requirements:

• You must hold a valid and in-date 'Door Supervisor PSA License'.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding a safe and positive environment through:

• Vigilance and Observation: Maintaining constant watch both at post and throughout the venue, proactively monitoring the crowd for unusual or anti-social behaviour.
• Proactive Incident Prevention: Anticipating and preventing situations that could lead to a negative experience for a patron or staff member.
• Patron Safety: Constantly monitoring and supervising the movement and conduct of patrons both inside and immediately outside the premises.
• Venue Safety: Working closely with floor staff to quickly identify and address hazards, such as drink spillages, ensuring a safe walking environment.
• Reporting: Promptly reporting all incidents, potential incidents, and observations directly to management.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

• Professional: Excellent personal presentation and a consistently friendly, outgoing, and assertive manner.
• Communication: Fluent in English and comfortable operating communication devices.
• Customer Focus: Exceptional customer relations skills, capable of positive engagement with patrons.
• Self-Motivated: Highly responsive, self-motivated, and capable of working effectively both as part of a team and independently.
• Experience: Previous experience as a security operative in a high-volume or busy nightlife environment is highly desirable.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: €20.00-€25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
