Security Team Member

McCain Foods is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our Timaru team. This front-facing role is crucial for maintaining safe, secure and efficient operations of our site.

This is a casual position, with hours of work regularly offered. During our peak potato harvest season, there is the opportunity to work increased hours up to full-time equivalent, to cover the increased workload and other security staff secondments.

You will be responsible for:

• 
  Controlling the entry and exit of employees, contractors, visitors and delivery of goods to our 24/7 operational site.

• Understanding, complying, and where necessary, enforcing company policies and practices.

• Providing alert, courteous and professional security service at the site's main entrance.

• The daily administration of weighbridge operations and Cardax ID card system.

To be successful in this role you will:

• 
  Hold health and safety in high regard

• Have strong interpersonal skill/customer skills and the ability to interact cross-functionally across all levels of personnel and visitors to site.

• Be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills

• Have proven computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel.

• Previous Security experience preferred.

• Certificate in workplace training and assessing (preferred, not essential).

• Be able to work four 12 hour shifts per week as rostered
