About Camden

Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today and we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.

What You’ll Be Doing

We want Camden to be a place where everyone has a voice. Camden citizens are by far the borough’s greatest asset, and we want to work alongside them to shift the dial on the tricky and knotty issues we face, rooted in our strong focus and commitment to social justice.

We’re seeking someone passionate about amplifying community voices to shape local services and neighbourhoods for children and young people with SEND.

In this role, you’ll connect with Camden’s rich community networks, breaking down barriers to involve and inspire citizens, including those new to participation. Working collaboratively with partners and organisations, you’ll co-develop innovative solutions to complex challenges, driving change in policy and service delivery. You’ll support projects that encourage fresh thinking, test new approaches, and embed successful practices—always keeping children and young people with SEND at the heart of what we do.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.

All About You

We’re looking for someone with strong knowledge of SEND, including the Code of Practice, the Children and Families Act 2014, and Camden’s SEND policies. You’ll have experience leading participation and social action programs that amplify the voices of children and young people with SEND, driving improvements to their wellbeing. With expertise in building relationships across communities, you’ll bring people together to create meaningful impact. Strong analytical skills are essential to evaluate data and insights, ensuring children and families remain at the heart of Camden’s work. Commitment to Camden 2025 values and effective planning skills are a must!
