Due to our growth we are currently seeking for a temporary Senior Accountant, available now until the end of the year.

The role:

Reporting to an Accounting Manager, you will:

• 
  Prepare and/or review interim and annual financial statements

• Execute and maintain the financial administration of a portfolio of international corporate structures

• Analyze financial and fiscal data to create internal and/or external financial reports and statements

• Review of monthly and quarterly reportings and communication of these reportings to relevant parties

• GAAP reconciliation between several GAAPs (US GAAP, UK GAAP, Lux GAAP, and/or IFRS; depending on reporting requirement)

• Work in conjunction with the tax team to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures in relation to direct and indirect taxes

• Liaise with external parties like auditors, joint venture partners, asset managers, property managers

• Communicate and coordinate with internal and international departments of Goldman Sachs and the stakeholders of the various investments

• Be in charge of administrative/accounting issues and answering queries

• Prepare / review the distribution mechanisms and repayments

• Supervise the work of the junior accountants, manage their workload and capacity and escalate concerns appropriately

• Coach, mentor and contribute to the development of (junior) accountants

• Support and manage the relationship and effective communication between team members and the finance managers

• Support and manage the relationship and effective communication with external auditors and other departments (local and abroad)

• Be involved in the set-up phase of new investments, and/or international complex structures as part of M&A, restructurings, and/or IPOs

• Be in charge of the financial and fiscal corporate governance of the Luxembourg portfolio

• Manage and coordinate of ad-hoc projects

This position is temporary, and ideally, the successful candidate will start in April 2025.

The profile:

• 
  At least bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or equivalent

• At least 5 years of relevant Luxembourg work experience either in accounting or financial control; ideally with exposure to PE and debts investments

• Comprehension and management of complex international corporate and finance structures

• Fluent in English, written and spoken

• Proven experience in financial services, international accounting, tax or trust environment

• Team-player with a hands on mentality

• Ability to work independently and accurately and good organizational skills

• Strong understanding of accounting techniques and procedures

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Strong mentoring and training skills

• Pro-active and service minded work ethics

• Detail oriented and flexibility to respond to and adapt to changes

• Proactively seeking opportunities for the development and / or improvement of processes

• Good command of excel

• Knowledge of BOB 50 is an asset
