We're looking for an Accounting Clerk who's comfortable wearing more than one hat. This is a generalist position supporting compliance, financial reporting, payroll, and a handful of HR administrative tasks. It suits someone who likes variety, keeps meticulous records, and can move between a reconciliation, a payroll run, and an onboarding packet in the same week without losing the thread.

You'll work closely with The Finance Team and have visibility into how the whole operation runs — which makes this a strong role for someone who wants to grow into a broader accounting or office management position.
What You'll Do
Compliance
Maintain organized documentation to support internal controls, audits, and regulatory filings.
Track filing deadlines and renewal dates, and flag issues before they become late
Assist with gathering schedules and support for external auditors and tax preparers.
Financial Reporting.
Perform monthly bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations.
Prepare journal entries and assist with the month-end and year-end close.
Produce recurring financial reports and variance summaries for management review.
Maintain accurate records in widely used Accounting Software.
Payroll
Review and verify timesheets, Vacation accruals, overtime, and pay adjustments.
Reconcile payroll registers, tax withholdings, and benefit deductions.
Coordinate with the payroll provider on tax filings, quarterly returns, and T4s.
Human Resources Support
Maintain confidential employee files and keep records current and complete.
Support onboarding and offboarding logistics — paperwork, system access requests.
Assist with benefits enrollment and act as a first point of contact for routine employee questions.
Help keep the employee handbook and HR policy documents up to date.
General
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as needed.
Respond to vendor and employee inquiries in a timely, professional way.
Identify small process improvements and help implement them.

What We're Looking For:
Required
2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or payroll experience.
Working knowledge of general accounting principles and the month-end close cycle.
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential payroll and employee information with discretion.
Careful attention to detail and a habit of double-checking your own work.
Clear written and verbal communication — you'll be explaining things to non-accountants.
