Senior Accounts Technician

Des Hughes Motors is looking for an experienced accounts technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience 3 Years plus experience in an accounts team and may be looking for the next step in their career.

Experience in a Motor Trade setting would be a benefit, but this is not a requirement.

Full Time Role

Hybrid - 3 Days Office 2 Days from home

Minimum 3 years accounts experience

Your duties will include:

· Accounts Payable & Receivable invoice processing

· Processing of all daily payments and receipts and associated bank reconciliations

· Issuing month end customer statements and Managing customer accounts to ensure payment within agreed terms

· Maintaining accurate records of vehicle purchases, sales and stock levels

· Month end Closure routines

· Completing weekly payroll using Brightpay software

· Completing statutory tax returns- VAT, PAYE, PRSI, VRT and associated reconciliations

· Work with external partners to complete Monthly Management Accounts

· Microsoft office experience

Full on-site job specific training will be provided by outgoing (retiring) accounts technician. With an expected final handover date of end of Q1 2025. This extended training period is to allow for a smooth transition and ensure you are fully equipped for your new role.
