The Senior Advisor Ministerial Services is part of a small collaborative team focused on ensuring the timeliness and quality of official information requests, Ministerial correspondence and written parliamentary questions are met. This is an opportunity to be a key member of one of the busiest Ministerial Services team in Wellington. This role requires solid experience and knowledge working with the Official Information Act (OIA).

Key Accountabilities:

  • Be responsible for all internal and external systems and processes associated with the allocation, production, tracking and management of Official Information Act requests, Ministerial correspondence and written parliamentary questions
  • Oversee the progress of information requests to ensure they meet timeliness and quality requirements.
  • Provide guidance, support, review and quality assurance of the work of Ministerial Services and other staff in the management of answers to parliamentary questions, Ministerial and official correspondence.
  • Ensure key messages on topical, sensitive or strategically important issues are consistent across all material.
  • Ensure work complies with relevant Police policies and standards, parliamentary rules, the Minister of Police's standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships internally as well as with the Minister's office, external agencies, and the wider community.

Utu a-tau | Salary

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $110,425 and $114,818 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
