Smartbox is seeking a commercially-minded, strategic operator to lead our Amazon channel across Europe. This is a senior role for someone who blends tactical Amazon expertise with leadership maturity. You will be responsible not only for day-to-day operations but also for shaping the long-term strategy, aligning internal teams, and driving performance across multiple
markets. This person will serve as the primary point of contact for all things Amazon — externally with Amazon teams and internally across commercial, logistics, content, and senior leadership.
Key Focus Areas Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the Amazon business strategy across all European markets
- Identify opportunities to grow revenue, profitability, and brand visibility
- Lead weekly and monthly business reviews, define goals, and establish KPIs for success
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement through structured testing and experimentation Stakeholder Influence and Cross-Functional Alignment
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across content, finance, logistics, and performance marketing
- Advocate for Amazon priorities within the wider business and influence decision-making at senior levels
- Act as the representative for the Amazon channel in key business forums and planning cycles Team Perception and Leadership Presence
- Provide informal mentorship to junior team members and help foster a culture of accountability and ownership
- Serve as the anchor of the Amazon team within Smartbox, reinforcing a strategic and proactive identity for the channel
- Help drive a high-performance culture with clear standards and a strong sense of purpose Operational and Tactical Execution
- Maintain high standards of operational excellence across content, catalog, pricing, SEO, inventory, and account health
- Ensure the flawless implementation of promotions, launches, and pricing changes
- Proactively monitor performance, identify issues, and resolve challenges with minimal oversight
- Manage relationships with Amazon Vendor Managers and Seller Support contacts
- Apply a test-and-learn mindset to channel optimizations, including AB testing content, pricing, and promotional tactics
- Will be responsible for defining and driving 1p and 3p strategy including pricing, catalogue management and logistics programs
Experience Requirements:
- 5–7+ years directly managing Amazon Seller and/or Vendor Central accounts Deep knowledge of ways of working with Amazon 1P and 3P, including logistics programs (FBA/Vendor logistics), reporting and analytics tools, and content optimization best practices
- Experience designing and running structured AB tests or experimentation frameworks on Amazon or ecommerce platforms
- Strong operational background with a track record of process ownership and consistent performance improvement
- Demonstrated success in defining and delivering strategic channel plans in an ecommerce or retail environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with performance dashboards, datasets, and insight generation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Prior experience working across multiple EU markets is a strong advantage · Bonus
- Experience mentoring or managing others in a fast-paced commercial team
