DESIGNATION : Senior Assistant Director/ Assistant Director (Security)
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will lead the planning and development efforts, command centre and site management of the Security department. You shall spearhead transformation and developmental efforts to enhance current capabilities and be the overall person in charge of Gardens by the Bay (GB)'s physical security assets and personnel. You will ensure the fulfilment of strategic and operational requirements during major events and key visits, and to support and cover your peers in the Operations and Administrative sections where needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, examine, analyse, evaluate and supervise GB's security operations, inclusive of physical security assets and security and surveillance personnel
- Prepare reports and records for management team
- Evaluate current procedures, practices and precedents in relation to security
- Identify and resolve recurrent security related issues
- Develop and implement up to date digital and technological solutions for security operations improvement
- Develop preventative security measures, emergency or crisis management and contingency plans and conduct preparatory drills and training for security and other related personnel to respond to potential security crisis
- Conduct physical assessment of premise security, including security equipment condition
- Conduct, supervise and prepare reports relating to internal investigations of any losses or violations of GB's security policies and procedures. Develop, implement and manage security training
- Serves as GB's liaison with public law enforcement, fire and other agencies as it relates to security at GB
- Perform other activities as assigned by Management from time to time
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree or Diploma in relevant fields
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience in managing security systems, projects and security guards
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team
- Experience in crowd control and managing large scale events
- Prior experience in uniformed organisations and/or leadership role in large establishments or installations will be an added advantage
- Good communication skills and ability to motivate team are essential
- Able to work on weekends and after office hours
