CPBS is seeking an experienced Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our forward-thinking and dedicated team in Scoresby, VIC region. As a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner, you’ll report to the Regional Clinical Manager for VIC - South East Melbourne. Providing support to a caseload of participants, you'll play a crucial role in conducting assessments, writing behavioural support plans and programmes and assisting with the implementation of plans. You’ll assist the Regional Clinical Manager with providing clinical supervision and may also support participants with particularly challenging and complex needs. The work is based on the principles of Multi-Element Behaviour Support (MEBS) and Positive Behaviour Support for children and adults in the home, community, and school/workplace settings.
Skills and Experiences:
What you'll do
Make positive and distinct changes to the lives of others by developing and maintaining relationships
Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions
Develop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plans
Provide support and training to colleagues, caregivers support workers on clinical techniques
Provide leadership by supporting the Regional Clinical Manager with clinical supervision to the Behaviour Support Practitioner team
Partner with varying professionals including doctors, psychiatrists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to develop and implement individualised participant goals and checklists
Adhere to legislative requirements regarding timely and accurate report writing and documentation
Complete introductory IABA training in Non-Linear Multi-element Positive Behaviour Support
What you'll need
A bachelor's degree and/or post graduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support
Hold a NDIS Practitioner ID, NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
Strong professional experience in Positive Behaviour Support
Demonstrated experience providing clinical expertise, supervision and leadership in a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners
Ability to prepare and finalise technical reports in a timely manner, using high-level verbal and written communication skills
Effective time management skills, managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
