About the Role
Join Amazon's Employee Experience & Relations (EXR) team in Europe and play a decisive role in shaping how 12 countries navigate one of the most complex labor relations environments in the world.

As the EU EXR Business Partner (BP) for OPS Central Functions & RME Tech field, you will develop and own end-to-end employee and labor relations strategies for the business populations you cover across the EU. You will serve as a direct strategic advisor to the most senior EU Operations leaders - including the VPs who run mission-critical functions - counselling them on employee experience, regulatory compliance and labor relations risk so they can make informed, confident decisions with significant business impact.

Reporting into the EU Business Partners and Project, Compliance & Risk ER Director, you will cover OPS Central Functions & RME Tech field across Europe — primarily IT Ops & RME, 3P Transportation & Scaling, and Supply Chain Transformation Planning & Ops Excellence. Each function reports to distinct VPs and presents unique employee experience dynamics - from highly specialized technical teams with outsized operational leverage to scaling organizations navigating rapid transformation, along with field team living day-to-day at the pace of the miles - requiring a Business Partner who can diagnose distinct needs, develop proportionate strategies, and deliver pragmatic counsel while maintaining strategic coherence and Amazon's EXR standards.

As the EXR Business Partner for those VPs, you will act as a trusted advisor who translates business priorities and challenges to EXR plans and outcomes. You will look closely after the employee experience in scope, and partner with PXT to build convincing improvement strategies. You will support organizational changes and respond to emerging business and risk opportunities at EU level. You will work in close collaboration with other EXR Business Partners, Country Field ER teams, and respective Head of Country ER Leadership to deliver specific country insights and ensure that fair, consistent, and transparent employee experience processes are applied across all operations.

Key job responsibilities
As an EXR Business Partner, you will be the trusted strategic advisor who translates complex business priorities into actionable employee and labor relations strategies. This role is a strategic advisory and relationship-driven role where your primary impact comes from:
  • The quality of counsel you provide to senior leaders navigating ambiguous, high-stakes situations
  • Your ability to connect regulatory, operational, and human dynamics into coherent strategies
  • The trust you build as the go-to partner whom VPs seek out before making workforce decisions
  • Your judgment in balancing business agility with employee experience and compliance imperatives
Specifically, you will:
  • Develop end-to-end ELR strategies for the business populations you serve, ensuring each strategy is grounded in local regulatory context, business operating models, and workforce dynamics across the EU;
- Advise VPs and senior leaders directly on labor relations risk exposure, regulatory compliance obligations, and employee experience opportunities - providing clear, data-backed recommendations that enable timely decision-making;
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate pan-EU employee relations risk by leveraging risk frameworks, employee listening mechanisms, site assessments, and workforce analytics to surface trends before they escalate;
  • Shape the employee experience across your customer groups by designing targeted interventions, visiting site to get employee’s experience feedback firsthand, testing solutions through local ER partnerships, and scaling what works across the network;
  • Navigate regulatory complexity by maintaining deep awareness of evolving EU labor legislation and advising business leaders on compliance implications about strategic projects, mitigation options, and strategic positioning;
- Lead through influence during critical moments - including organizational change, workforce restructuring, and crisis situations - partnering with ER Country Leaders to ensure coordinated, legally sound, and employee-centric responses;
  • Drive strategic coherence across diverse populations by developing tailored approaches for each business function while maintaining a unified pan-EU framework that delivers consistency, fairness, and transparency;
  • Partner cross-functionally with PxT, Legal, L&D, GOLD, and Operations Corporate teams to build leader capability and deliver cohesive employee experience across all touchpoints.

  • Deliver innovative solutions that challenge the status quo and drive measurable improvements in employee experience
  • Define and track success metrics for EXR initiatives, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement

Leadership Capabilities:
  • Navigate high ambiguity and competing priorities across multiple stakeholder groups with minimal direction, exercising sound judgment to drive outcomes
  • Influence senior leaders through data-driven insights, pragmatic solutions, and deep understanding of their respective business challenges
  • Build and sustain constructive, trusted advisory relationships with senior leaders and multiple stakeholders across functions and geographies
  • Produce high-quality written communications that analyse problems, present data-backed options, and recommend clear paths forward

Self Development:
  • Seek learning opportunities and champion new ideas within the EXR function
  • Reflect on strengths and growth areas, actively seeking feedback from peers and stakeholders
  • Lead authentically through self-awareness and transparency
  • Build a diverse network of leaders across the organization
