Senior Communications Advisor (Parental Cover Until End Of October 2025)

Imagine a future where you strengthen our position as a world-leading energy company through compelling communication backed by the right messages

Join us in this role where you’ll be working to create the messages and content that help us stand out as a leading renewable energy company, for instance within sustainability, innovation, development, construction, and energy generation. A good example is refining and updating our company presentation as well as key messages about Ørsted and our energy solutions. This equips our employees to effectively communicate about and represent Ørsted in a consistent way. We’d like to explore a permanent engagement if the fit turns out to be right on both ends.

Welcome to Global Marketing
You’ll be part of the Positioning & Brand team where you, together with your colleagues, will cooperate with colleagues across our markets, in Global Stakeholder Relations, and other commercial functions to support the company’s ambitions to be a leading global renewable energy major, including being a globally recognised sustainability leader. We're a team of five communication and branding professionals working to manage and evolve the Ørsted brand, enable our colleagues to communicate about our company in an impactful and consistent way, and develop content for various channels. As a team, we prioritise collaboration, having an informal atmosphere, and getting things done on time so we can make a difference for our colleagues – and in the world.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • positioning Ørsted’s track records, milestones, and activities within areas such as sustainability, innovation, construction, and operations
  • enabling colleagues to activate Ørsted’s key messages and proof points through e.g. producing the authoritative company PowerPoint presentation and key messages on e.g. sustainability
  • contributing to the ideation and production of written content, e.g. on the need for a faster energy transition and the benefits of our technologies
  • working with subject matter experts from across the organisation and our internal agency to coordinate the production of written and multimedia assets
  • potentially developing and implementing communication and activation plans within specific content pillars and for specific projects.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • are likely a communications generalist with excellent written English communication skills who can translate complex information into meaningful content
  • have a strong understanding of communications practices across content formats and channels and can develop and carry out a communication plan to meet specific objectives
  • have a strong commercial mindset and/or experience within areas such as energy and sustainability, or are a fast learner
  • can work with content specialists and technical subject matter experts and thrive by identifying proof points and creating foundational messages to ensure consistency
  • can adapt to working in a global company with all the stakeholder management and changing dynamics, projects, and tasks that entails.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
