JOB DESCRIPTION – SENIOR MANAGER, COMMUNICATIONS (SINGAPORE)
CONTRACT ROLE: MAY – AUGUST 2025
What you will be doing:
As a Senior Communications Manager, you will play a key role in driving communications needs for an exciting upcoming sports event in Singapore. You will be responsible for the execution of communications strategies, PR planning and roll out of press events and campaigns.
We are looking for someone who can represent our business in a highly professional manner, a client handler and an innovative thinker. In addition, the candidate should demonstrate that they are well connected and versed in the sports press in Singapore and broader region, and can manage all areas of the communications plan.
General project responsibilities breakdown into three key areas:
Campaign planning aligned to event insights on target audience, event objectives, suitability of media outlets / platforms and budget parameters, as well as KPI setting. Implementation and event campaign roll out in collaboration with partner agencies, and general account management of suppliers, budget and client reporting. Campaign review, interpretation of measurement results and recommendations to the clients.
Role specific responsibilities include:
- Management of key relationships with client, agency partners, and suppliers.
- Working closely with global communications lead and partners on the implementation of all aspects of the event campaign including media outreach & engagement, general communications, press releases, coordination of content creation and distribution.
- Event & press day logistics and talent management.
- Lead communications updates in weekly status meetings, planning and review sessions.
- Budget management.
- Production of post-event review documents
Skills & Experience Required:
- 6+ years working within the sports industry, preferably with event expertise.
- Experience of working with sports media within Singapore and APAC region, holding strong existing relationships.
- Excellent client management skills - ability to manage senior clients and gain trust and respect of all stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation skills (both writing and delivery) internally and to clients.
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written – and attention to detail.
- Creative thinker, with an eye for spotting an opportunity and delivering on it.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a ‘can-do’ attitude at all times.
- Deep knowledge of, and passion for sport. Football knowledge is a plus.
- Additional Asian language is an advantage.
